Overview
We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team during the night shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication and possess the mechanical knowledge necessary to operate and maintain press brake machinery effectively. This individual must also have steel mig welding as well. This role is crucial in ensuring the production of high-quality sheet metal components that meet our specifications and standards.
Duties
- Operate Safan E-Break press brake machinery to bend, form, and fabricate sheet metal components according to engineering specifications.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the appropriate bending sequences and tooling setups.
- Set up and adjust machine parameters for optimal performance, including die selection and material thickness adjustments.
- Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers to ensure accuracy in fabrication processes.
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to assemble fabricated parts into finished products.
- Assist in programming the press brake for automated operations when applicable.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements
- Work (4) 10 hour shifts Monday - Thursday starting at 7pm to 5 am
- Proven experience operating press brakes or similar machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools such as micrometers for quality control purposes.
- Forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
