Configuration Management Analyst position in Huntsville, Alabama.
Description
The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a desire to grow within the organization. You are highly process-driven and able to serve as a POC to educate cross-functional team members on policies and procedures.? You are comfortable in a manufacturing environment and able to collaborate closely with engineers, quality assurance, production control, and operations. Participates in the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, and accounting for systems, products and/or equipment in accordance with contractual requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinating changes to product design documents with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and other support organizations. Ensures that customer requirements are implemented and ensures compliance with configuration management policies.
- Performing engineering data control activities which may include administration of government/industry documents (change notice, impact assessment, and where-used creation) and creation/release of parts.
- Participates in modifying and providing input to policies and procedures that govern CM-related processes, collaborating with stakeholders to identify and pursue CM process improvements.
- Prepares and maintains program plans that define how configuration management will be accomplished on multiple strategic, commercial, and developmental programs.
- Directly and professionally may interface with customers, functional/integrated product teams, and others in accomplishing CM for multiple strategic and commercial programs.
- Represents strategic and commercial programs in selection, development, implementation and maintenance of digital tools such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools, and design/modeling/production software.
- Extensive knowledge of Hardware/Software Configuration Management, Engineering, and Data Management.
- Skill Set with: Configuration/Data Management, Jira and Confluence.
- Familiarity with DoD security regulations.
- Working knowledge and understanding of engineering documentation (i.e. drawings, specifications, parts lists, change notices, manufacturing plans, test or laboratory procedures)
- Broad understanding of CM principles, methods, and product lifecycles
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in related STEM field with a minimum of 5 to 7 years relevant experience or 3 years of experience with a masters degree
- 5-10 years of related experience
- Ability to obtain DoD Clearance, therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with Polarian
- Knowledge in an Agile development process and continuous integration
- Understand Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes
- Understand knowledge in C/C and Java code
- Preferred knowledge of FACE, MOSA, OMS, and UCS standards.
- Knowledge and experience with configuration management as it relates to NIST 800-53 Risk Management Framework policies and procedures.
