Job summary
Lead all process engineering activities for key plant processes and systems. May manage capital projects and operation activities as assigned.
Summary of essential job functions
- Maintain plant material and energy balances and process control.
- Develop and improve processes, P&IDs, SOPs, and process narratives.
- Lead and train technicians; participate in hiring, managing, and evaluating/testing technicians.
- Substitute for plant operations leadership as needed.
- Assist in capital and maintenance planning.
- Support long-term production scheduling and participate in daily production meetings.
- Analyze data, daily reports, laboratory information, and operations activities.
- Understand and lead environmental discharges and good manufacturing practices.
- Facilitate cohesive teambuilding; communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
Minimum requirements
- B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering or Pulp and Paper Engineering preferred
Experience required
1-3 years plant manufacturing experience or equivalent demonstration.
