Since being established in 2002, Buchanan Electric proudly provides residential and commercial electrical services to Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb counties. Buchanan Electric has been an expert Generac Dealer for more than 10 years and has trained technicians who meet Generac's high standards for service and customer satisfaction.
What you’ll do:
- Install, service, and repair generators: engine AND electrical components, meter levels, connections/terminals, generator housing, etc.
- Perform on-site planned maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and troubleshooting for customers generators (includes DC & AC voltage equipment)
- Work independently and with a small team servicing and installing residential and commercial standby generators
- Involves multiple appointments per day
- Provide excellent customer service, craftsmanship, and attention to detail with your work
What you’ll bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required
- 4 years of experience with generators in a residential, commercial, or industrial space
- Strong mechanical knowledge of internal combustion engines and electrical systems
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and service manual for diagnostics and troubleshooting repairs
- Technical knowledge of computer systems such as Microsoft 365
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and work outside
