Do you have picking and packing experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment? Generac is seeking a qualified Parts Shipper for our Janesville Distribution Center, 303 Venture Court, Janeville, WI 53546!

1st Shift: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm, Monday-Friday, Overtime 4:00 am or 5:00 am to 2:00 pm w/ Saturday and/or Sunday
2nd Shift: 2:30 pm - 10:00 pm, Monday-Friday, Overtime 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm or 12:30 am w/ Saturday and/or Sunday

Overview:
The Parts Shipper packs and prepares product for shipment as specified in the customer order and in accordance with policies and procedures. Responsible for the complete and accurate shipping of all products, Responsible for reporting accuracy of all shipping transactions in ERP system. Supports goals and continued improvement of PDC. Prepare appropriate documentation for shipments. Ownership of basic 5S and housekeeping for area. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Picks parts by both walking and using a forklift (sit down, stand up, joey and wave) inside the 500,000 sq ft distribution center.
• Prepares parts for shipment at the pack station, pre-box and kits.
• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, rectifies discrepancies.
• Inserts items into containers using spacers, fillers and protective padding may need to create packaging.
• Flex across different products and areas to support business needs.
• Provides training to new employees or employees learning new work areas to work instructions/standard work.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Detail oriented and organized

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
