Position Description

General Atlantic is looking to hire an Analyst to join the Global Transactions team in our New York Office. This position will report directly to a Senior Associate on the Global Transactions team. This role will be full-time and start on July 28, 2025.

Our 2-year program offers a unique opportunity to support GA’s due diligence, risk management, and finance effectiveness initiatives. This individual will play a key role in consolidating findings, synthesizing insights, and delivering data-driven presentations that contribute to high-impact, investment-related decision making. The Global Transactions team works closely and collaborates with our investment team members, as well as partners on various teams throughout the Firm. This role offers broad exposure to GA’s investment strategies and investments across GA’s core sectors. Successful analysts will be considered for future opportunities to continue their career with GA.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in gathering and organizing data from diligence activities across multiple prospects, creating clear summaries that highlight key findings.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to develop insights that support value creation and risk mitigation efforts. Leverage technology tools (ex. Power BI, Alteryx) to identify trends, summarize metrics, and present findings.
  • Work closely with the Portfolio Management team to assemble data-driven reports that capture the performance and financial status of portfolio companies, ensuring accuracy and clear narrative.
  • Create presentations for senior-level management, synthesizing information into visually engaging slides to support Investment Committee meetings and other internal discussions.
  • Maintain and organize documentation related to diligence findings, reports, and presentations, ensuring information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Support the design and implementation of process improvement initiatives to drive scalable analysis and insight across the team and Firm.
  • Engage with third-party advisors to manage and track multiple projects, ensuring progress aligns with team timelines, goals, and key deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required and based on relevant experience) with expected graduation in May 2025.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, with the ability to interpret financial data and management information.
  • Effective project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong client orientation, sound judgement, and professional presence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings clearly and concisely.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and clarity in reports and presentations.
  • Proven track record of strong academic excellence.
  • Experience or exposure to automation or data visualization tools during undergrad.
  • Competence in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Highly motivated, inquisitive, and positive can-do attitude

General Atlantic offers a robust reward program to all employees that will support you and your family, maintaining fulfilling, secure and healthy lives now and into the future, which includes but is not limited to medical insurance, retirement savings contributions, mental and physical health resources and an equal pay program that allows you to earn a base salary of $95,000 – 105,000 USD of which the exact amount offered will be driven by the degree to which you meet role requirements, additional special skills and experience. Additional reward programs, such as annual discretionary bonuses and long-term incentive programs, are available for eligible employees and are offered as recognition for performance and one’s contributions towards the organization’s success.
