DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administers daily operational aspects of one or more ongoing engineering change proposals (ECPs); develops, designs and schedules project plan; may be assigned project leadership.
- Support processing ECPs at initiation to leading ECPs through implementation.
- Coordinates with engineering stakeholders to integrate and analyze project plans to ensure milestones and delivery requirements are met; ensures that all the key parties are advised.
- Evaluates and interprets factors then selects the method and technique with which to analyze data and situations and develops new or innovative solutions; influences and guides on appropriate action(s) to be taken.
- Develops new concepts, techniques, standards, practices and procedures to ensure operational effectiveness.
- Develops appropriate electronic and hard copy reports and records.
- Participates in changes/updates/modifications to policies and practices.
- Represent the organization as a prime contact with outside organizations; makes internal and external presentations as required.
- Provides direction to support and less experienced professional staff.
- Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; nine or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, seven or more years of experience with a masters degree, or four or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
- Must have Control Account Manager (CAM) experience.
- Must have a thorough understanding of engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory; experience demonstrating a broad application of those concepts; and expanding knowledge of principles, concepts, theory, and practices in related technical specialties.
- Department of Defense engineering or project management experience preferred but not required.
- Must possess the ability to develop and communicate new concepts; apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems.
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them in an evolving environment while contributing to the development of new processes.
- Must be customer focused and possess the ability to identify issues, analyze data and develop solutions to a variety of complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation
- Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings.
- Strong interpersonal skills enabling an effective interface with other professionals.
- Strong computer skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
