Disaster Case Management Supervisor
The Holston Conference of the United Methodist Church Disaster Response Committee is excited to announce a search for a Disaster Case Management Supervisor. This role serves as a point of contact for clients and supports their recovery by coordinating services and resources to address complex disaster recovery needs. In addition to managing an assigned caseload, the Supervisor provides oversight, guidance, and support to Disaster Case Managers (DCMs), ensuring the quality and effectiveness of case management services. The Supervisor will report to the Disaster Response Committee. This role offers an opportunity to combine leadership and case management expertise to make a meaningful impact on disaster recovery efforts. Key Responsibilities:
Case Management Support:
- Serve as a resource for Disaster Case Managers, providing consultation and peer review during regular supervisions (weekly or biweekly as required).
- Guide DCMs through the unmet needs processes, including reviewing and approving cases requiring under $5,000 in funding and advising on other funding opportunities with partners.
- Conduct milestone reviews to assess case progress and provide recommendations for effective case management.
- Ensure proper communication by mailing written correspondences from DCMs to clients as needed.
Compliance and Oversight:
- Oversee the integrity of client files and ensure adherence to data tracking and compliance requirements using tools such as:
- File Audit Sheets
- Case File Maps
- Client Trackers
- Monitor data quality and ensure client tracking systems are maintained accurately and promptly.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Utilize critical thinking and decision-making skills to address complex situations and resolve challenges effectively.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to ensure efficient workload distribution across the team.
- Foster collaboration and accountability within the Disaster Case Management team.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze case data and maintain accurate records through spreadsheets and database systems.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Disaster Response Committee on case management activities and team performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- An associate degree is required.
- 1 year of direct supervisory experience is required.
- Proficient in data analysis and spreadsheet administration.
- Strong familiarity with case management tools and systems.
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- Effective delegation skills to manage team workload.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to consult and support team members.
- High level of accuracy and thoroughness in file audits, client tracking, and data reporting.
