Overview
The Detail Planning organization is currently looking for motivated candidates to support work instruction development and change maintenance for all classes of submarines under construction at Electric Boat. In this role, you will create and maintain work instructions and refined forecasts in support of manufacturing, assembly, installation, and test activities.
This position will involve developing and maintaining work instructions and forecasts in the Teamcenter IPDE toolset through collaboration with peers in Design, Engineering, and Operations. Additionally, you will be involved in the development of new processes, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will interface frequently with many different organizations across the company while professionally representing Planning. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills.
Responsibilities Include:
- Development of work instructions for multiple classes of submarines
- Adherence to processes, procedures, and standards
- Collaboration with peers and supervisors for the development of new processes and procedures
- Completion of work in support of department goals related to quality and attainment
- Interfacing with organizations across Electric Boat in a professional manner
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of Planning experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with computers including Microsoft Office Suite
- Candidate must be from organizations outside of operations (Casciano/Gabriel)
Preferred:
- 1 year of Electric Boat planning, design/engineering, or operations experience
- Experience with PCM/EWP
- Experience with the IPDE toolset
- Past experience in warehousing, transportation, planning, or equivalent
- Experience with product structuring
