HOW A GEOSPATIAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
The Systems Engineer Senior position will consist of OCONUS work at Abu Dhabi. The Systems Engineer Senior shall perform detailed system engineering and will be directly involved in various system design and requirements generation/maintenance of legacy and emerging DoD software and hardware baselines.
You will be responsible for leading and working with a highly functional team testing and deploying custom solutions to the client's hardware baselines and maintaining legacy and new versions of the system and its sub-systems. Other responsibilities will include working with the CONUS reach back support, including software/hardware vendors, to define system requirements and effort estimates related to satisfying said requirements.
Compensation - This role offers a Base Salary AND Uplifts that may include - HOLA/COLA (based on State Department guidelines for the location of the role), Dodds Tuition, Relocation, Repatriation.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans and performs engineering research, design development, and other assignments in conformance with design, engineering, and customer specifications
Responsible for major technical/engineering projects of high complexity and importance
Interacts with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design
Assess and manage systems level requirements, develop operational systems concepts, originating design concepts or performing systems level integration and test for highly complex systems
Coordinates the software/hardware integration and deployment with end-user.
Review architecture designs and plans and provide actionable feedback to stakeholders and team personnel
Contribute to the Planning and Requirements phases of the development life cycle
Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications
Solves engineering problems in the functional area to which assigned
Recommend changes to improve established application processes
Provide technical support and consultation for systems engineering questions
Produce white papers and briefings as required
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or other business-related field plus 8 years of experience in a related discipline
Strong understanding of systems architectures, system design, employment of systems and dependent sub-systems, systems administration, and system networking
Experience with SQL, Postgres, and NoSQL data stores
Demonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problems
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a small team
Thoroughly understands systems engineering for client-server based architectures supporting broad base of applications
Familiarity with installation, configuration, and usage of leading GeoSpatial software products to include Remote View, Geo-Catalog, ArcPro, and other Geospatial software packages.
Prior experience within NGA, The Intelligence Community, or the Department of Defense
Must have a TS/SCI Clearance
Desired Skills:
Experience with virtualized environments and virtualization software such a VMWare, Nutanix
Experience with storage platforms NetApp, TrueNas
Current US Passport

Salary and Benefit Information
The likely salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
