Job Description Summary
The Logistics Coordinator manages a global logistics portfolio in a manner that shall meet business fulfillment requirements in parallel with the goal of transportation cost reduction.
Participate and lead logistics related projects, supports customer delivery through operational excellence. You will be responsible for collecting and communicating all necessary information related to upcoming and ongoing shipments, projects and services as well as providing logistics support, consulting, finding optimal mode and way of transportation and obtaining the best possible transportation rates.
This role will be located near IAH George Bush International Airport.
Job Description
Responsibilities :
Optimize shipments, improve on time delivery, and cost efficiency of customer deliveries through Lean approach.
Ensure Transport Management System (OTM) and process compliance and integrity.
Evaluate and drive transport mode and service level optimization.
Investigate logistics non-conformances, identify, and record corrective actions.
Provide excellent customer service.
Accountable for accurate OTM and logistics related data and associated KPI report availability.
Responsible for payment issue and NCR case resolution.
Accountable for executing transportation goals, strategies, and procedures in accordance with Gas Power Logistics initiatives
Lead the shipment planning process by enhanced system utilization and contractual coverage through collaboration with business operations.
Requirements :
Minimum of High School Diploma / GED.
5 or more years in operational and / or supply chain experience.
Desired Characteristics
Degree in Supply Chain Management preferred.
Strong facilitation skills, ability to work independently.
Experience with process improvements, Lean and Kaizen.
Comfortable in matrixed cross-functional environments.
Demonstrated ability to improve metrics.
Experience with training others.
Operational planning.
Strong computer skills and experience working in MRP systems.
For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $ 57,600.
00 - 72,000.00 . USD annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, geographic location, and skill set.
This position is also eligible for a 5% annual performance bonus. This position will stay open on the career website until at least 12 / 24 / 2023.
