What are the responsibilities and job description for the AM Bistro Attendant position at General Hotels Corporation?
General Hotels Corporation is seeking a Bistro Attendant for our Courtyard by Marriott, Muncie. The Bistro Attendant is a key role in our ability to provide high levels of hospitality and service to our guests. This position is for morning shifts and requires both weekday and weekend availability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
- Prepare, cook, and serve food according to recipes, quality standards, and food preparation standards, and food preparation checklist.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Ensure highest levels of food safety.
- Engage with guests to take orders and process payments.
- Provide assistance in Food and Beverage areas including busing, cleaning and resetting tables, delivering food to guests, and general cleaning of prep areas and other areas within the lobby.
- Accurately maintain cash register and credit receipts.
- Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment and machines.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous customer service experience is required. Previous experience in a similar position or within a hotel preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Guest service-oriented demeanor is required. Candidate should be willing to go above and beyond for our guests and have a professional, positive attitude.
- Ability to read and speak English.
