What are the responsibilities and job description for the PM Bistro Attendant position at General Hotels Corporation?
General Hotels Corporation is seeking a Bistro Attendant for our Courtyard by Marriott, Muncie. The Bistro Attendant is a key role in our ability to provide high levels of hospitality and service to our guests. This position is scheduled 4:30pm to 10:30pm five nights per week, including weekends.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
- Prepare, cook, and serve food according to recipes, quality standards, and food preparation standards, and food preparation checklist.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Ensure highest levels of food safety.
- Engage with guests to take orders and process payments.
- Provide assistance in Food and Beverage areas including busing, cleaning and resetting tables, delivering food to guests, and general cleaning of prep areas and other areas within the lobby.
- Accurately maintain cash register and credit receipts.
- Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment and machines.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous customer service experience is required. Previous experience in a similar position or within a hotel preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Guest service-oriented demeanor is required. Candidate should be willing to go above and beyond for our guests and have a professional, positive attitude.
- Ability to read and speak English.
