We are seeking a Financial Specialist supporting the Customer Service Center for the Office of the Chief Financial Office of Justice Programs-(OJP) for a full-time position in McLean, VA.
Summary:
The successful incumbent is expected to provide operational and technical support to the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO). This includes ensuring high-quality financial management services, supporting the Grant Accounting and Customer Service Branch (GACSB), and maintaining the Customer Service Center (CSC). Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform daily financial operations: consolidate financial statements, make grant payments, Audit tracking and audit resolution of OJP grantees
- Serve as Tier 2 support for escalated financial inquiries.
- Work on complex financial reconciliations and data entry.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years as a financial specialist, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Time management skills to meet deadlines
