We are currently looking for a qualified Field Service Technician to join our team. This position provides technical assistance for our equipment to our customers worldwide. Additionally, this position requires working within a team environment with other areas such as Contract Sales, Component Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing.
Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot equipment in the field and in the office.
- Oversee minor equipment modification.
- Lead test and tuning equipment.
- Document service activities and results.
- Provide on-site training and preventive maintenance inspections for our customers.
- Document and report on any safety concerns related to the installation and operation of our equipment.
- Promote the sale of component parts at customer sites.
- Provide constant feedback for Sales, Manufacturing and Engineering.
- Fully support the Company’s ISO objectives, policies, procedures and the GK SCOPE Program.
- The willingness and ability to travel worldwide at any time, about 80% of the time.
- The willingness and physical ability to work on our equipment can include climbing ladders, crawling under objects and working in harsh conditions/jobsites.
- To understand basic business concepts and the ability to respond to customer requests.
- The willingness to work from existing policies and procedures and the ability to build technical knowledge.
- The ability to resolve problems by identifying and analyzing problems logically and comprehensively.

- Electrically wiring All Show Machines & All Test & Tune Machines along with support R&D initiatives from Controls perspective

- Understanding existing standards and execute against.
- Champion the Safety aspect of job duties making safety as way of living.

- Bachelor’s degree in industrial technology or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in mechanical equipment, electrical control and/or programming a plus.
- Bi-lingual abilities a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office products.
- Proficiency in reading, design and troubleshoot electrical schematic diagrams.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Able to decipher PLC code for troubleshooting purposes.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, etc.) and networking concepts.
- Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC), safety standards and experience designing systems in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to identify and rectify control system issues.
- Experience using, programming, and troubleshooting common industrial sensors and controls, multimeter/amp/oscilloscope.
- Experience in ABB & Siemens & Rockwell VFD’s.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Works in Manufacturing & Office Environment.
- Requires the ability to lift 5 pounds regularly with occasional lifting to and upwards of 20 pounds.
- Travel dependent on workload and will be job specific.
- Estimated at 80% domestic & internationally in a given year.
