Description
Immediate permanent Maintenance Mechanic opportunity for a growing manufacturing plant located in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the production equipment in the facility and maintaining/enhancing equipment to meet production and quality and customer expectations.
Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot motor control circuits, drives and PLC systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC Systems
- Troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems.
- Perform routine PM's, repairs, rebuild and modify equipment assigned and to include electrically controlled equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all company vehicles.
- Repair mechanical issues related to power transmissions, chain and belt drives, cams, bearings, cranes and forklifts.
- Perform upgrades and/or changes to equipment if needed.
- Suggest ways to make production more efficient.
- Maintain a high level of safety awareness and reports any unsafe or hazardous work conditions.
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Able to operate various machinery – scissor, boom lift and forklift.
- Assist with snow removal as necessary, able to be flexible with work hours when necessary.
- Be aware of the importance of using correct lifting techniques.

- Must have a valid Drivers License.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- 2-year technical degree in electricity or electronics or trade school is preferred.
- Min. 5 years Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferably welding, heavy fabrication.
- Previous experience with troubleshooting with PLC's preferably Allen Bradley· Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, fractions and decimals.
- Willingness to be flexible with working hours, including prescheduled daytime shifts and Saturdays as required.
- Ability to stand duration of shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. or move 100 with lifting equipment or assistance.
- Able to speak, read and write the English language.
- Self-starter that has some flexibility with work hours as necessary.
- Strong attention to detail.
