About This Role
General Matter is looking for an experienced IT Manager with strong knowledge and experience across IT technologies. The IT Manager will oversee the company's IT systems, implement best practices, and drive technology initiatives that align with our business goals. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our infrastructure scales as we grow while maintaining security, efficiency, and reliability. The ideal candidate will be flexible and flourish in a fast paced and challenging environment and will exercise a high degree of responsibility for the processes, systems, and tools you create and manage; all supporting the goal of ensuring the country has the fuel it needs to power its nuclear reactors.
Responsibilities :
- Work closely with General Matter engineers to gather requirements, research, evaluate, design, plan, deploy, and support Microsoft enterprise software platforms and related technologies in a world-class environment that meets the needs of the demanding General Matter engineering teams.
- Manage and maintain highly resilient, high-performance, scalable, and flexible systems.
- Make recommendations, justify, and implement improvements using an accepted change control methodology.
- Work within diverse groups to design and deliver creative solutions and resolve problems in a timely and proactive manner by interacting with internal business units.
- Define, document and follow standards and best practices for systems design, testing, and implementation.
- Responsible for the health of the IT core infrastructure :
Ensure uptime of critical systems to the business
