Summary

Provides administrative and documentation support to General Micro Systems Quality Engineering group by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·         File and scan Travelers and Test Reports and upload to QA network folder

·         Organize and maintain Test Reports on the network for easy reference

·         Organize and maintain the contents of the QA network folder

·         Organize and maintain Quality Records in archive

·         Provide assistance to the Quality Engineering team as needed

·         Assist Quality Engineers and Quality Supervisor in documenting new procedures or updating existing ones.

·         Organizes and maintains file system, files records and documentation as requested

·         Typing correspondence, copying files and miscellaneous tasks as required

·         Assists in the organization and tracking of company products, materials and supplies utilized by Quality Engineering

·         Schedules meetings, attends meetings and takes minutes/notes when requested

·         Utilize Epicor and EPDM (Enterprise Product Data Management) proficiently to complete assignments and tasks

·         Generates and distributes vendor score cards

·         Collects data and generates Quality KPI reports

·         Collects all departments KPI reports for retention

·         Coordinates all calibration activities for GMS

·         Collects traceability documentation for First Article inspections

·         Coordinates source inspection activities

·         Other duties as assigned

 

 

Education and Experience

·         Minimum High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with minimum 2 years administrative experience in a fast-paced environment.

·         Experience in Engineering, Manufacturing or Quality environments related to electronic products and systems is a plus.

·         Some experience in document control/configuration management, experience with EPDM and Epicor is preferred

·         Must have experience working in a co-development environment with tight, customer driven schedules

·         Must have experience preparing emails, written policies, procedures, reports, etc.

•         Must possess strong interpersonal skills, able to effectively interact with all levels of employees and management.

•         Must remain poised, professional, and diplomatic under pressure.

•         Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

•         Must possess the ability and desire to encourage and facilitate a positive and productive work environment for all employees.

•         Must be able to work on-site the standard 8 AM-5 PM, Monday – Friday schedule and additional hours as necessary.

•         Limited travel required.

The employee regularly engages in personal interaction with company personnel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus and utilize a computer monitor under florescent lighting and/or daylight where applicable.

  • The employee performs duties at a desk under florescent lighting
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

·         The employee will occasionally be required to conduct work in the engineering lab

·         While performing duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock
