What You Do

Prioritize and deliver information services and subscriptions to meet the company's strategic needs; maintain employee access to databases, online collections, and other electronic resources

Partner with employees to discover information resources and data through consulting on research projects, providing reference help, and facilitating access to online resources

Teach, train, and develop information literacy and associated skills for employees; market and train employees on use of subscribed resources both formally and informally

Independently evaluate and apply information management standard methodologies for the organization and maintenance of records

Use information management skills to learn about a domain, field or industry and apply subject domain knowledge to support employees information requests

Design interfaces for an intuitive user experience; curate, publish, and/or package information in usable formats

Maintain library collections including the processing, circulation, cataloging, filing and shelving, and archiving of physical and electronic documents

Develop and evaluate the library's web presences and discovery services for continuous improvement, and collect and report usages statistics for these web services
- Support special projects and assignments; provide overall backup support for others
Additional Job Description
What You Need

Masters Degree in library science from an ALA-accredited program (MLS / MLIS)

3 years of experience in a corporate or technical library

Experience in engineering, science, or technology research

A solid understanding of library resources, with emphasis on electronic databases essential

Experience using a cataloging utility such as OCLC and an integrated library system environment

Experience crafting and maintaining library documentation/web pages

Experience working with digital libraries or institutional repositories
- Sound communications and problem-solving skills
