PRIMARY PURPOSE: This position receives, stores and distributes products within the warehouse and surrounding areas following all directives of the supervisor, as well as the procedures outlined in the Receiving Manual.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Accurately count and verify all units of each product being received.
2. Ensure that the product quality has been checked by a Quality Assurance team member, a supervisor, the buyer, or the Receiver if asked by the supervisor.
3. Prepare the product for put-away by: a) ensuring that the pallet is physically sound and b) properly labeling the pallet with computer-generated put-a-way pallet labels.
4. Put away product by: a) sweeping the area where the new product is to be placed; b) properly rotate inventory; c) ensuring that the oldest product is readily available for the order selectors; and/or d) following the detailed instructions of the supervisor.
5. Operates battery powered pallet jacks to transport product from the receiving shipping dock as well as from refrigerated rooms and surrounding areas.
6. Operates battery powered transporters, forklifts and non-powered material handling equipment on a regular basis.
7. Report regularly to supervisor.

3. Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Ability to work in a team environment.
2. Must possess exceptional work ethics and dependability.
3. Ability to learn to operate a fork lift.
4. Ability to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School graduate and one year experience in warehouse environment preferred.

Salary : $17 - $18
