Summary :
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing resources, and controlling project tasks required for effective management of electronic security installation projects. The Project Manager is a highly organized person responsible for working with other Project Managers, Project Coordinator, Engineering, Operations Manager and Installation Technicians to keep the project schedules, milestones, and labor needs in sync to facilitate bringing jobs predictably in within time and budget thresholds.
This position is fully onsite in our Bloomington office, with occasional travel to local customer sites.

Project Manager Responsibilities :

Schedule and attend project kick-off meetings upon receipt of project assignmentProactively work with Project Coordinator and subcontractors in scheduling and assignment of resources to activities and notify Warehouse of project staging requirementsMaintain project job file, including but not limited to change orders and project updatesProvide daily updates to the resources planning system based on project status and progressAttend project meetings as requiredMaintain the project schedulesEnsure the entire EPG process flow is acted upon, including documentation, client communication, and successfully completing work tickets.Partner with the business development team to enhance the client experience and deliver on commitments.Maintain thorough notes and updates on client project work.Communicate with customers regarding scheduled work, providing updates on repairs and / or preventative maintenance visitsSite visits to provide oversight of the installation work performed at customer site to ensure the highest quality standards and safetyResponsible for setting customer expectations and communication to all stakeholdersResponsible for customer follow-up and communication after site visitsProvide support to all levels of technical staff (this position is the first point of contact for field service staff)Mentor Project Coordinator in Project Management best practicesImplement Project Management methodologiesFoster and support a team environmentAll other duties, as assigned by company managementProject Manager Minimum Qualifications :
2-year degree with 5 years relevant experience with low voltage systems or 4-year degree and 3 years experience with low voltage systemsAbility to follow the GSSC corporate valuesStrong conflict management and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read and effectively interpret general business documentationSuperior customer service skills to communicate with both internal and external customersAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to organize and prioritize job duties to meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups of customersProficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and OutlookAbility to learn GSSC softwareAbility to effectively handle stressful situations and changing business demands that will change the schedule dailyAbility to influence othersPMP certification or willingness to obtain within 6 monthsWorking knowledge of low voltage systems such as intrusion, fire alarm, access control, nurse call, and video systemsAbility to conduct internal and external project meetingsProject Manager Expectations :
