What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Representative position at General Shale?
General Shale, Inc., the nation’s leading brick and masonry materials manufacturer, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative for our Piedmont, SC facility. The successful candidate must acquire an in-depth knowledge of General Shale products and interact professionally with customers in a fast-paced sales environment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Inside sales
- Performance of yard operations and loading/unloading trucks via forklift
- Dispatching trucks (a plus)
- Invoicing
- Answering the phone
- Data entry in SAP computer system
- Cash sales
- Liaising with outside sales team
- Manual handling of product
- Prepping material for deliveries
Job Requirements:
- 2-5 years customer service experience; inside sales experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related curriculum preferred
- Must be a self-starter who possesses excellent PC skills; knowledge of SAP a plus
- Ability to operate a Hi-Lo/forklift
- Strong communication skills, including both written and verbal communications
