Job Description
The CNC Machine Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of facility equipment, including process machinery and building infrastructure.
Essential Functions:
- Maintenance and repair of CNC machines
- Routine maintenance to ensure proper performance
- Scheduling machine cleaning and preventative maintenance
- Updating production schedules with maintenance performed
- Coordination with outside repair vendors
- Maintenance and inventory of repair parts
- Ensuring proper oil levels in machines
- Repairing and correcting machine leaks
- Troubleshooting production machines and facility equipment problems
- Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment
- Suggesting process improvements and equipment purchases
- Performing other assignments as required
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, minimum 7 years of experience maintaining and repairing production machines and facility equipment
- Knowledge of maintenance and repair of CNC turning centers with Fanuc Controllers
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Complete knowledge of metrology equipment and their uses
- Understanding of mechanical systems and electrical circuits
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
Language Skills:
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Mathematical Skills:
- Intermediate Math Skills (measuring, use of calculator)
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to carry out detailed, involved written and verbal instructions
Physical Demands:
- Frequent lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
- Regularly required to walk, use hands to handle objects and tools or controls, and talk or hear
- Employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms
- Specific vision abilities require close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to handle several tasks at the same time under time constraints
Work Environment:
- Machine Maintenance Mechanic will work throughout the company and be exposed to high-pressure gas, heated and moving mechanical parts, and occasionally exposed to vibration
- Noise level is moderate for a manufacturing plant
