Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. This role involves working closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans, facilitate therapeutic sessions, and promote overall well-being. Duties
- Conduct assessments to understand clients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions focusing on behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, and grief counseling.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to support clients dealing with PTSD, substance use disorders, and other mental health challenges.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, educators, and family members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress in accordance with ICD-10 standards.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in social work, special education, and psychological care to enhance service delivery.
- Facilitate workshops or support groups as needed to promote community awareness and education.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field is required.
- Professional licensure is preferred but not required.
- Experience in behavioral therapy or crisis intervention is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Familiarity with PTSD care techniques and grief counseling strategies is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all aspects of client interaction.
