Preschool Ministry Coordinator

gKids Preschool Director

The Preschool Director is responsible for the ministry to children Birth – PreK. They are responsible for preschool ministry development and assisting with various gKids events throughout the year such as VBS, Christmas program, etc. They will lead and prepare for preschool programming on Sunday Mornings, help with childcare for Generations Church events, utilizing shared ministry space environments, and support the baby/child dedication milestone for family ministry. The Preschool Director reports to the Executive Pastor of Family Ministries through the gKids Pastor.

Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience working with families and children

Expectations:

• Expected to model the Generations Church staff values
• Great 360 team leader - with children’s ministry pastoral staff and volunteer team to work toward the overall mission and vision.
• Servanthood ministry - faithful, dependable, flexible, and adapt to shifts in ministry responsibility as you develop through the leadership of the Generations Church Pastors.
• Participate in gKids staff and volunteer meetings.
• Lead gKids toward our vision of being a place where: church is fun, the Bible comes alive, and friends become family!

Job Responsibilities:

• Roles and assignments are completed based upon the ministry's needs and priorities for each week.
• Oversee the gKids Preschool team to provide a high quality, coordinated, well-balanced age-level program.
• Maintain safe, protected classroom and ministry environments.
• Follow onboarding protocols for hiring and training new and current volunteers and staff.
• Oversee curriculum and discipleship of the preschool groups.
• Schedule volunteers for weekly Sunday gKids programming.
• Maintain and provide adequate equipment for classes that best facilitate learning.
• Be prepared to work any classroom not properly staffed during programming.
• Project and work within the ministry budget.
• Work with gKids Pastor on Baby/Child Dedication.
• Schedule childcare workers for events.
• Serve as a director of Vacation Bible School for preschool age children.
• Work with gKids Pastor to plan events such as: gKids Christmas program, At the Movies, Easter, etc.

Part-Time Position: (20-25 hours*)

• Weekly office schedule is negotiable with flexibility as approved by the Kid’s pastor.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20,000.00 - $25,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 25 per week
