We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with general accounting tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processing.
- Reconcile investor purchase advices and upload journal entries to post funding and purchase transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and post journal entries in the general ledger.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in preparing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Help with employee expense reimbursements.
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance filings.
- Collaborate with team members on audits and financial reviews.
- Utilize accounting software to manage transactions.
- Identify process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years of accounting experience (internships or coursework accepted).
- Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (XLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Familiarity with accounting and loan origination software and website navigations. Encompass and AMB accounting software is a plus!
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the accounting field.

Working Conditions:
Working in a typical office environment Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Travel within 2 miles to affiliate office a few times a week. Must have reliable transportation.
