POSITION SUMMARY:
The Community Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, engaging, and hiring candidates directly
from the community. The Community Recruiter will attend events, visit job fairs, collaborate with

Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
● Community Outreach:
○ Actively engage with the local community to identify and attract potential
candidates.
○ Attend and represent the company at job fairs, community events, local colleges,
and other recruitment-related activities.
○ Develop partnerships with community organizations, vocational schools, and
local agencies to build a talent pipeline.
● Candidate Sourcing:○ Identify and source candidates through grassroots efforts, including networking,
referrals, and direct outreach.
○ Visit target locations such as career centers, community hubs, and other
high-traffic areas to promote job opportunities.
○ Utilize social media and local online platforms to reach out to potential
candidates.
● Relationship Building:
○ Build and maintain strong relationships with local job seekers, community
leaders, and educational institutions.
○ Act as the face of the company in the community, ensuring a positive and
welcoming experience for all candidates.
○ Provide candidates with detailed information about job opportunities, company
culture, and the hiring process.
● Candidate Assessment:
○ Screen and interview candidates in person to assess their qualifications, skills,
and cultural fit.
○ Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure a smooth and efficient interview and
selection process.
○ Provide timely and constructive feedback to candidates throughout the
recruitment process.
● Recruitment Marketing:
○ Work with the marketing team to create and distribute recruitment materials
tailored to specific communities.
○ Promote the company’s employer brand through grassroots marketing strategies
and community engagement.
○ Utilize creative approaches to highlight the company’s value proposition to
potential candidates.
● Reporting & Analytics:
○ Track and report on recruitment activities, including candidate engagement,
sourcing effectiveness, and hiring outcomes.
○ Analyze community-based recruitment efforts to identify areas of success and
opportunities for improvement.
○ Provide regular updates to the recruitment manager on progress and challenges
in the field.
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or
equivalent experience).
● 2-4 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or community outreach.
● Proven ability to source and engage candidates in a variety of settings, including
in-person and online.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse
groups of people.
● Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently in the field.
● Familiarity with local labor markets and community resources.
● Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
