What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborate with estimators during pre-construction and procurement to develop cost estimates, and scopes of work, procure bids, and de-scope subcontractors.
- Perform constructability reviews.
- Prepare all project documentation including project reports, schedules, and budgets.
- Maintain project budget, cost control, and change management with open lines of communication with owners and subcontractors.
- Lead construction project team meetings.
- Prepare project schedules and oversee progress to meet deadlines.
- Develop project logistics plans, quality control and safety plans in collaboration with field superintendents.
- Communicate with field superintendents to ensure timely project progress.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline or an equivalent technical degree
- 5 - 10 years of experience in project management in the design and construction industry or an equivalent combination of education/experience
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents.
- Experience in Bio-Pharma industries.
- Intermediate to Advanced interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Competency in analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate to advanced financial and contract management skills.
- Ability to work effectively amongst project stakeholders independently and with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to quickly learn new software.
- Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and budget.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex projects that are strategic in nature and progressive in scope
- Performance of these duties may require the physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, walk distances, climb ladders, and negotiate work areas under construction.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Performing this job requires the use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, sit, talk, and hear (bells, whistles, etc.), stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
- Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee works on-site at the construction worksite where the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; highly precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise in this work environment is usually moderate to very loud. May perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
