Job Responsibilities include:
· Checking in used vehicles as they arrive to the lot
· Opening repair orders
· Writing up vehicle damages
-Assisting with Parts Orders
-Assist with Parts Check In
· Taking vehicle photos to assess for any preexisting damage that will need to be fixed
· Taking vehicle through the car wash for a more accurate assessment of the vehicle
· Shuttling vehicles outside the dealership
· Staging vehicles for repair
· Communicating with technicians/detailers about repairs
· Contacting sublet vendors for repairs (Glass/Wheel Recon/PDR)
· Quality checking vehicles after repairs/detailing
Qualifications required for this position include:
- Strong Customer Service skills and a willingness to learn
- Experience in the automotive field may be advantageous.
- A strong understanding of automotive technology and the automotive industry.
- Proficiency with industry-specific software.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to communicate with mechanics, customers, and management.
- Minimum of 3 years of dealership parts department experience (GM preferred)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Ability to multitask
- Valid state of Michigan driver’s license
- Must pass drug screen and background check
Physical Requirements:
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
· The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, and talk or hear
· Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
· Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
