Daycare Teacher

Genesis Learning Academy in Fayetteville is looking for an experienced and energetic teacher who loves working with school-age children.

The ideal candidate will have CPR and first aid certifications, and prior experience working in childcare.

Some of the exciting things our School Age Teacher will do:

—Cultivate and maintain a nurturing, educational, supportive, and loving environment at the center

—Develop open lines of communication with staff, parents, and children

—Provide leadership to our diverse staff and mentor our great team of teachers

—Establish a collaborative work culture that promotes teamwork

—Maintain licensing and safety standards

—Oversee programs and activities to engage and educate young children

—Provide excellent customer service

— Cultivate positive, authentic relationships with children, families, staff, state licensing authorities, and the local community.

Required skills, education, and experience:

— Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

—Strong working knowledge of early childhood center operations

—Knowledge of NCDHHS licensing regulations and developmentally appropriate best practic

—Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively build authentic relationships with children, families, staff, state licensing authorities, and the local community.

—Must meet all NCDHHS requirements for the position

—Must be proficient with basic computer skills, especially email and Facebook

—Must be physically able to lift 60 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and work both indoors and outdoors. Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, sit on the floor and assume other positions at the children’s eye level and engage in physical activities with them.

—Duties include occasional evening hours.
