The IT Applications Analyst will work as part of the Information Technology team to support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of internal software applications. This position is responsible for providing end-user training, troubleshooting, ongoing system support, and recommendations for process improvements based on application capabilities. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including clinical and administrative staff, to ensure effective software functionality that meets organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Support: Provide day-to-day support for all internal applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.
- Workflow Optimization: Assess workflows and identify opportunities for improvement using system capabilities, ensuring efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Training & Documentation: Develop and deliver end-user training programs, including training materials and manuals. Provide hands-on training for users to ensure proper application usage.
- EMR Support: Gain in-depth knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) functionality to provide support to end users, troubleshoot and resolve EMR-related issues in a timely manner, and ensure the system meets organizational workflow requirements.
- Super User Support: Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for the EMR and other applications, providing guidance and support to super users.
- Issue Resolution: Quickly identify and resolve software and system issues, working independently to resolve complex problems or escalating as necessary.
- Collaboration with Vendors: Work with EMR vendors and other software providers to resolve technical issues and stay informed on upcoming features and system updates.
- New Functionality Rollouts: Participate in the planning and execution of new software features and functionality, including testing and user training before new releases.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify process improvements within the system and recommend changes to enhance system performance, user experience, or workflow efficiency.
- Reporting: Utilize reporting tools and data analysis to support decision-making and generate reports as required for operations and management.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Healthcare IT, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or application analysis. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is highly desirable but not required.
- Project Management: Familiarity with project management principles is a plus. Experience managing small projects or participating in cross-functional team projects is preferred but not required.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with IT systems, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of EMR and other healthcare-related applications is preferred.
- Experience with reporting tools or system maintenance is a plus.
