POSITION SUMMARY :
The Technical Writer & Trainer position is to structure, write, and maintain technical documentation of multiple software applications. The documentation includes developing conceptual diagrams, process flows, data models, prototypes, user interface designs, use cases, and screen layouts. The position will also help to prepare training materials (user guides, quick reference guides, online documentation, and web help pages) and provide software training to customers both onsite and at regional locations. The position also involves the review, update, and edit of existing documentation for structural consistency, technical accuracy, clarity, grammar, and spelling to ensure that documentation meets company standards.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Outstanding technical writing, structuring, editing, and proofreading skills
- Superior communication (oral and written), organization, and administrative skills
- Must have solid skills working with various computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, RoboHelp, Camtasia, Adobe Acrobat, and Photoshop
- Able to author clear, detailed, professional, and visually well-designed technical documentation (help guides, training videos, training materials, etc.)
- Ability to quickly learn and understand complex analytical software and concepts
- Knowledge of facilitation techniques and experience delivering classroom training with strong presentation skills
- Willingness to travel as required by projects
- Ability to juggle multiple projects on tight timelines
- Ability to work with resources across multiple time zones
- Must have a current valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check and drug test
