Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industrial Recruiter specializing in sourcing and hiring skilled labor professionals, including welders, fitters, hydro blasters, stevedores, and other industrial trades. The ideal candidate will possess strong networking abilities, knowledge of industrial labor markets, and experience in end-to-end recruitment processes. This role is critical in ensuring we attract top talent to meet our operational demands and maintain project timelines. This position is onsite in Mobile, AL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, source, and recruit highly skilled industrial labor professionals through various channels, including job boards, social media, referrals, and industry events.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future staffing needs.
- Screening & Assessment:
- Conduct interviews, assess qualifications, and evaluate candidates’ technical skills, certifications, and experience relevant to industrial labor positions.
- Administer relevant tests or practical assessments when necessary.
Client & Hiring Manager Collaboration:
- Partner with hiring managers and project leads to understand staffing requirements and timelines.
- Provide regular updates on recruitment progress and market insights.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all hiring practices comply with labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and candidate progress.
- Candidate Engagement:
- Deliver a high-quality candidate experience by providing timely feedback and maintaining clear communication throughout the hiring process.
- Market Research:
- Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor hiring activities, and labor market dynamics to inform recruitment strategies.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of recruitment experience
- Proven track record of successful placements in roles such as welders, fitters, hydro blasters, stevedoring, and similar positions.
- Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of industrial labor requirements, certifications, and trade skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment platforms.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or other relevant HR certifications.
