Responsibilities
The Strategy Specialist POD Leader oversees business development and strategy goals for an assigned territory called a POD and serves as the Strategy Specialist in a nursing center. This individual provides support and guidance on processes and activities that can positively position nursing centers within the community and catalyze census growth.
- Provides leadership support and supervision of all POD business development strategies.
- Organizes nursing center sales and marketing resources around market dynamics, referral sources, decision-makers, and influencers.
- Responsible and accountable for meeting and exceeding occupancy and census revenue goals.
- Works with business development team members and nursing center leadership to continuously improve systems that directly impact occupancy.
- Provides support, coaching and proactive management of the business development team members to enhance performance, encourages sister nursing facility collaboration, and offers talent development for all business development representatives.
- Able to develop relationships with C-Suite personnel in primary referral source accounts.
- Committed to the success of each nursing center and the market level team as a servant leader.

- Extensive knowledge of business development practices and techniques.
- Capable of multi-tasking and working closely with multiple nursing centers at the same time.
- Able to be accurate, concise and detail oriented.
- Adept at hiring talent to the organization.
- Four-year degree required. Master's degree in business administration, marketing, or health care management preferred.
- Five to 7 years' experience in the healthcare industry required and regional healthcare market experience preferred.
- Multi-facility management experience or health care product or service sales experience preferred.
- Adept in using computer to document activities.
- Must be flexible in scheduling priorities and able to travel as needed.
