We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead complex projects and inspire teams to achieve organizational objectives. As a Project Manager, you will take ownership of company goals, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and with a steadfast commitment to safety excellence.
This position reports directly to the Head of Program Manager of Building Products
- Works directly with the Project Management and Sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams through engineering, fabrication, shop run-offs, and field installation
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, update project financials and labor forecasts weekly
- Lead weekly status update and open issue meetings, provide valued input for resource planning, design reviews, manufacturing meetings, on-site kickoff meetings, and safety review meetings
- Write and/or negotiate subcontract scopes of work, generate invoicing, and follow up on aging receivables
- Prepare written change orders, provide risk mitigation plans, JSA's, SPA's, and all safety documentation as required
- Manage and influence the project budget to increase positive variances
- Complete field audits as necessary, create and update open issues logs on all projects
- Monitor and report on project progress to company stakeholders
Performance Metrics:
- Lead and manage $8-$15MM a year earned revenue
- Achieve a 2% positive variance on sold gross profit margins
- Increase revenue by >15% with change management and skillful negotiation
- Ensure zero lost time by fostering a safety-first culture
Requirements:
- 5 years relevant project management experience in a related field
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a technical field
- Project management qualification (PMP) preferred, but not required
- Theoretical and practical project management knowledge
- Basic understanding of other disciplines (e.g., electrical, controls, pneumatic)
- Experience in strategic planning, contract negotiation, risk management, and change management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of tools
- Excellent computer skills
