About Genesys Works
The mission of Genesys Works is to provide pathways to career success for high school students in underserved communities through skills training, meaningful work experiences, and impactful relationships. The organization envisions a future where all young adults are equipped and empowered with the knowledge and skills required to achieve career success, upward mobility, and a lifetime of economic self-sufficiency.
Genesys Works is a $40 million, national nonprofit that has been advancing economic mobility for 21 years and has helped more than 9,000 students from under-represented communities to prepare for college and careers and to succeed in both. In addition to a national office, the organization currently operates in seven cities across the country – Bay Area, Capital Region, Houston, New York, Tulsa, and Twin Cities.
The organization creates career pathways and opportunities for youth from underserved communities while simultaneously helping employers fill critical talent gaps within their companies. They do this by providing skills training, counseling and coaching, and paid internships for high school seniors who currently reside in underserved communities and lack access to the resources needed to achieve sustained economic mobility.
Genesys Works is in an exciting phase of growth designed to increase its impact nationally by expanding to 14 sites by 2028. The organization is seeking a senior leader who will focus on ensuring that the organizational infrastructure and back-office processes are in place to facilitate and support this growth. This leader will serve as a bridge between executive priorities and mandates while ensuring the delivery of work products. The Chief Administrative Officer will create and ensure the implementation of best-in-class talent policies, effective technology and administrative policies and procedures to move Genesys Works and its mission forward.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the CAO will provide a broad range of leadership, standardization, consistency, and oversight to Human Resources, I.T., Project Management, and Legal functions, supporting the entire Genesys Works network. This position will oversee the Senior Director of HR, the Chief Information Officer, and a project management resource and will be responsible for advancing strong integration of our administrative activities throughout the organization.
