We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will play a vital role in providing guests with a clean and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and ironing machines to launder and dry clean items efficiently.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and uniforms according to established procedures.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before washing and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and work surfaces.
- Ensure proper handling of chemicals and detergents while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with hotel staff to ensure timely delivery of cleaned items to various departments.
- Follow inventory procedures for laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
Skills
- Proficiency in laundering techniques including washing, drying, and ironing.
- Experience with dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Familiarity with hotel operations or experience in a hospitality environment is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify stains or damage on fabrics.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks.
