Crusher Maintenance - South Area

Overview

Position: Crusher Maintenance Division: Aggregates Locations: South Area ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Job Summary: Under the direction of the Aggregate Plant Maintenance Superintendent, the crusher maintenance person is responsible for the setup, repair, and fabrication of all crusher operations. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Duties and Responsibilities: • Prioritize SAFETY FIRST and help foster a culture of safety! • Visualize, define, plan, communicate, and implement the company vision and core values • Operate crane as necessary • Fabricate new equipment using oxy-acetylene torches, plasma cutter, MIG and stick welders • Change, add, and/or remove head and tail pulleys, material screens, troughing rollers, conveyor belts and shafts • Replace screens and inspect plants before start-up • Conduct workplace exams • Maintain an insurable driving record • Conduct inspections to identify potential failures and/or needed repairs for equipment • Lead in winter maintenance projects • Be a leader to fellow team members and help train/teach them • Champion new methods of equipment tracking and maintenance strategies that are implemented ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Education and/or Experience: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) • Must be crane certified or willing and able to get certification at next opportunity • Experience in cutting, welding, and fabrication • Working knowledge of Cones, Jaws, VSI and HSI crushers, Screens, Pumps, and conveyors ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Individual Development (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): • Attention and commitment to safety • Ability to follow instructions • Ability to work long hours • Ability to move up to 80 pounds • Must be a team player • Ability to think critically ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Disclaimer: This job description is not intended to contain a comprehensive listing of duties and responsibilities required of the employee.
