QA Tester Web and Mobile
Contract Length: 6-12 months plus potential extension
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid Downtown Dallas and willingness to work late hours or weekends when required)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Tester for a long term contract opportunity. In this role, you will be an integral part of the Customer Experience Project team, working closely with the Manager and Test Lead to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, developing test cases/scripts, and utilizing test management tools like qTest. A strong understanding of testing both web and desktop applications is essential, along with backend services testing, including mobile, API, and microservices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 8 years of relevant QA testing experience, with a focus on customer-facing applications.
- Must have expertise in manual and automation testing across web, mobile, and backend services.
- Experience with qTest, ALM and JIRA is preferred.
- Strong experience with web services, mobile applications, and backend systems testing.
- Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and performing backend testing.
- Automation tool knowledge (e.g., Selenium or UFT) is required.
- Strong understanding of API and Microservices testing.
- Ability to define and execute automation test cases, and manage these processes within test management tools.
- Proficient in backend data analysis, data mapping, and handling large datasets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for web and desktop applications to ensure comprehensive functionality coverage.
- Execute manual tests for both web and mobile applications.
- Review business, functional, and design specifications to create detailed test cases.
- Develop and execute Test Plans to verify the software meets specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct usability tests and collaborate with users to validate the functionality from their perspective.
- Perform backend testing, including data mapping, ETL, and writing complex SQL queries.
- Utilize qTest for test case management and to report test results.
- Conduct testing of mobile applications on various devices, including phones and tablets.
- Test API and Microservices to ensure proper functionality.
- Identify and escalate potential quality issues promptly to management.
