Key Responsibilities
Using the ANA Nursing Process (2010), the Registered Nurse will:
· Collect and analyze comprehensive data relevant to patient health status.
· Identify diagnoses and expected outcomes tailored to each patient.
· Develop and implement personalized care plans to achieve health goals.
· Coordinate and deliver direct patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
· Promote health education and a safe care environment.
· Evaluate care outcomes and adjust plans as necessary.
· Provide consultation to support patient care planning and improvement.
· Uphold the ANA Standards of Professional Performance, including continuous quality improvement, ethical practice, collaboration, and leadership.
Additional Duties
· Actively contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and excellence.
· Maintain compliance with professional standards, institutional policies, and regulatory guidelines.
· Utilize technology effectively to support documentation, communication, and organizational engagement.
· Demonstrate commitment to lifelong learning and improvement.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education:
· Completion of an accredited nursing program approved by a board of nursing.
Licensure/Certifications:
· Registered Nurse (RN) license – South Dakota Board of Nursing
· Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – American Heart Association (must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer; earlier may be required based on departmental needs).
Experience:
· 5 years of RN experience.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN).
