General
The person in this role provides corporate support for Genpak Corporate Environmental Safety Manager and Safety teams and initiatives. Genpak aspires to build its reputation as a proactive, best-in-class corporate citizen. The primary responsibilities include:
Essential Functions
- Assists with continuous improvement of our Environmental, Health, and Safety performance through leadership and innovation.
- Completes all required OSHA and environmental reports.
- Record and maintain metrics for all aspects of the safety program.
- Supports organizational teams and committees that review and develop Genpak Environmental & Safety mission, policies, goals, and objectives.
- Assist Genpak representatives interact with external entities including Contractors, Customers and Suppliers.
- Upkeep the Contactor Compliance program.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes is vital to keeping EHS programs current and effective.
- Help maintain the Safety programs to ensure full compliance with Corporate and sites requirements
- Effective written and verbal communications skills.
- Providing Health and Safety technical support for site specific initiatives and projects.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
- Monitor and ensure adequate Environmental Health and Safety records are maintained
- Support Safety and Environmental Task force and daily related task.
- Record and maintain metrics for all aspects of the safety program.
- Performs additional responsibilities as requested (i.e. serve in various support roles as needed).
- Support compliance and management of Genpak Environmental Programs including PSM/RMP, as needed.
Education and Experience
- A minimum of two years of experience working with EHS compliance and management systems, preferably within a manufacturing operation.
- Must have strong computer skills and familiarity with MS Office, Excel, Word and Power Point.
- Teamwork skills with demonstrated abilities to work collaboratively.
- Interpersonal communications skills and cultural sensitivity.
- Demonstrated effective platform presentation skills and training delivery skills.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be willing to travel a minimum of 10% a year.
