Position Title : Procurement Specialist
Exempt Status : Non-Exempt
Position Reports To : Director of Procurement
Objectives :
The Purchasing agents' main responsibility is to ensure that procurement needs are fully supported by the plants or departments, through requisitions and general requests and are accurately monitored and recorded by location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Originates and enters purchase orders for the facilities and / or departments.
- Manage all procurement requests for international vendors.
- Processes Requisitions, while aligning supply and sourcing strategies from HQ.
- Steward of Contracts and Supplier Agreements as well as Liability Insurance.
- Researches the cost of goods and supplies .
- Responsible for 3-way match on all invoices from vendors.
- Research potential suppliers for machine parts and contracted service to support the plant.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining Purchase Orders, change orders, purchasing order entry and reporting.
- Track janitorial supplies, first aid supplies, administrative supplies, and office supplies weekly.

Individual can write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills : Solid - Individual can calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Individual can apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability : Solid - Individual can solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Individual can interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates / Licenses / Registrations : No licenses, certificates, or registrations are required to perform the Purchasing Agent.
