Come join us on our journey to serve our customers and be the leader in our industry! We are currently looking for a VP, Mortgage Originations Operations to join our team!

The VP, Operations is responsible for mortgage origination operations including loan processing, closing, and post-closing functions. The role also manages the underwriting process, collaborating with the capital markets team on products and underwriting guidelines. This position oversees daily operations through effective management of capacity in response to sales projections and pipelines, development, and implementation of processes and systems, identification and management of business controls, and successful resolution of customer escalations while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and corporate standards.

Responsibilities include building and managing a high-performing team through effective acquisition, onboarding and training of talent. The VP, Operations is responsible for managing performance, fostering development and providing mentoring to employees with the goal of continually increasing operational capability. The role ensures productivity, quality, volume and customer service metrics and standards are achieved. Objectives include continual improvement of business processes and optimizing the efficiency of the end-to-end process.

The VP, Operations leads and participates in projects designed to advance the performance of mortgage operations and the overall scale of mortgage originations for the company. As a member of the Mortgage Originations Leadership Team, this position is expected to build and sustain a positive culture in close partnership with the sales organization to provide customers with a best-in-class experience that in turn fosters retention and acquisition of new business

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. The employee should be able to communicate by telephone, email, and face-to-face.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (or equivalent combination of years of experience with High School diploma/ GED)
• 10 years’ experience in the mortgage industry with experience leading high-volume processing operations directly related to the scope of this role
• 5 years’ experience managing people and leading teams
• Depth of knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment for mortgage originations developed through direct, previous experience in processing, closing, post-closing operations
• Strong project management skills
• LOS knowledge and experience; experience with Encompass is strongly preferred
• Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships across the organization to influence and drive required results
• Effective management skills include talent selection, training, coaching, and performance management
• Strong leadership capabilities with proven ability to motivate teams and foster positive employee engagement
• Demonstrated ability to quickly establish credibility; coupled with recognizing and supporting the organization’s priorities
• Strong execution skills and results orientation
• Able to manage and lead change
• Strong analytical skills coupled with sound judgment
• Strong problem-solving abilities; able to analyze data/ metrics to identify functional opportunities and propose solutions

Compensation

• The hiring range for this position is between $150,000.00- $175,000.00 annually
• This position is eligible for a Quarterly MBO for Year One
