We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient storage, distribution, and inventory management of our products. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to optimize processes for maximum productivity and cost-effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise all phases of warehouse operations including the truck loading process and material handling activities.
- Arrange receipt of product from Toronto and contract manufacturers.
- Responsible for replenishment shipments to Wound Care Concepts and Absolute Wound Solutions regional distribution facilities.
- Responsible for shipments to distributor, hospital, and long-term care customers that purchase products.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the warehouse shift; schedule and assign work to staff.
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate employees assigned to warehouse.
- Ensures efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments and shifts.
- Completes all required management reports and related administrative tasks.
- Researches, identifies, and presents new ideas to improve warehouse operations.
- Attends and participates in regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings.
- Ensures compliance with company safety policies.
- Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Supervise and assist with the unloading of containers as needed.
- Resolve employee relation issues and conflict that arise among team members and/or other employees.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policies.
- Will oversee the Pick & Pack Manager and ensure all orders are done in a timely manner.
- Supervisory skills
- 5 years of related experience in a supervisory role required
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to plan, prioritize and organize tasks
- Basic understanding of records, inventories, and other routine documentation used in the warehouse
- Thorough understanding of warehouse procedures and regulations
- Strong computer skills and ability to work with warehouse management software to log, track, and report data
