Job Title: TOUR GUIDE
Classification: PART-TIME / NON-EXEMPT
Reports to: PROGRAM SPECIALIST
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Gentle Barn Foundation is seeking a part-time Tour Guide. Reporting directly to the Program Specialist, this highly responsible person will host field trips, private tours, and birthday parties.

Tour & Group Duties:
- Host various field trips, birthday parties, and private tours
- Introduce, answer questions, and be able to tell the stories of the animals
- Be knowledgeable of veganism and a plant-based diet
- Provide love and affection to the animals and properly show guests how to handle animals in a gentle way
- Keep animals and guests safe
The following is required for the ideal candidate:
- Gentle and kind to animals and humans
- Strong belief that all animals should be treated with compassion and respect
- Must be comfortable and confident around large animals
- Ability to exemplify both discretion and confidentiality
- Prior experience training and caring for various animals is a plus
- Support the organization’s philosophy and can advocate our positions on issues professionally
- Must be able to work varying hours based on the needs of the organization
- Must live a plant-based lifestyle
