Gentle Shepherd Hospice has been providing end-of-life care in Lynchburg, Roanoke and surrounding communities for nearly 30 years. We are local and family-owned with a service-oriented ministry mindset.
We are currently accepting applications for a Full-time RN to join our team for Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm. The Hospice Case Manager will serve Lynchburg and a radius within an hour’s drive. As part of an interdisciplinary team, hospice RNs manage a caseload of patients and are responsible for regular patient visits, admissions, PRN visits, and death visits. Our clinical care teams work in private homes, as well as long-term care facilities.
The successful candidate:

- has good interpersonal skills
- is able to work with a diverse patient/family population
- consistently demonstrates ability to follow through
- is flexible and able to work both independently and as a team player
- follows direction from supervisors
Our new hire training program is customized based on the hospice knowledge and healthcare experience of each new staff member and consists of job shadowing and both “classroom” and field training.
Cell phone, iPad provided. Company car may be provided for full-time employees. Mileage is reimbursed if personal car is used.
