Key Responsibilities

The Director of Business Growth Auto Sales will be responsible for:

  • Presenting and communicating the value proposition of our Auto Care program to prospects and existing customers, highlighting the benefits of joining our NAPA Auto Care program.
  • Working closely with our headquarters team to provide feedback, ideas, and field insights that drive program adoption, new membership, dual enrollments, Autotech training, and sales goals.
  • Hosting meetings in assigned territories to provide training on Auto Care program adoption and utilization.
  • Achieving territory sales quotas, new members, and co-branded projects.
  • Supporting local business development groups in meeting management, community events, and marketing to consumers and potential new members.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and communication to all NAPA Auto Care centers in assigned territories by regularly visiting members to assist in program adoption, understanding customer needs, presenting programs to address needs, and informing members of key program changes/enhancements.
  • Demonstrating a thorough knowledge of our NAPA Auto Care program and options for members.
  • Reviewing monthly initiatives with the sales team to ensure focus on Auto Care program benefits.
  • Executing weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales plans to achieve business growth opportunities consistent with company objectives.
  • Executing Auto Care sales programs/strategies aimed at improving overall effectiveness of the territory, district, and/or area business activities.
  • Conducting periodic account reviews to keep management updated on key progress indicators.
  • Attending, organizing, and managing key events and trade shows, including market training.
  • Regularly logging into the Auto Care member site and NAPA Connect to stay updated on new features.
  • Ensuring all members in their market have access to the member site.
  • Consistently meeting or exceeding yearly targets.

Requirements

This role requires:

  • 3-5 years of previous selling and account management experience, with a solid record of success developing new business while maintaining and growing existing business.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel within assigned territories, attending meetings, sales meetings, and other events; driving long distances to make multiple sales calls daily, including overnight stays as required by the territory.
  • Sales acumen: ability to understand and apply sales principles, techniques, and processes effectively.
  • Communication and customer focus: ability to identify, understand, and meet the needs of customers to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Resilience and adaptability: ability to recover quickly from setbacks, maintain motivation, and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Results orientation and financial acumen: strong drive to meet or exceed sales targets and objectives, focusing on achieving measurable outcomes with an understanding of how to structure deals and meet both sales and profit objectives.
  • Product knowledge: deep understanding of product specifications, features, benefits, and differentiators between products and brands.
  • Technology proficiency: comfortable using CRM systems, inventory management software, and other sales tools, leveraging digital platforms for customer engagement.
