Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Resident Manager to oversee the daily operations of a brand-new luxury residential building in Bergen, NJ.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in luxury rental buildings, along with a strong background in facilities management and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance projects.
- E nsure that the building adheres to all safety regulations and building codes, implementing and overseeing safety protocols for residents and staff.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to emergencies, such as mechanical failures or safety hazards.
- Perform regular inspections of all buildings, common areas, and surrounding grounds to identify any maintenance needs, safety concerns, or repairs.
- Oversee landscaping, snow removal, and general upkeep of exterior spaces to ensure a clean, well-maintained appearance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, addressing any issues related to maintenance or building operations.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in building management, facilities maintenance for a luxury rental building
- Strong technical skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems
- Thorough understanding of building safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs
- Ability to supervise and train staff on maintenance procedures and safety standards
- Experience with budget management and capital improvement planning is a plus
