Essential Position Functions
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree or higher or at least 24 credit hours in content area
Valid Indiana Teaching License for Grades 9-12 or Workplace Specialist License

Essential Position Functions
- Creates and designs lesson plans, instruction, and assessments aligned to Indiana Academic Standards
- Knowledge of Adobe programs (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design)
- Uses content material appropriate to students, content area, and academic standards
- Uses resource materials, procedures, and models related to the lesson
- Plans instruction and activities that address identified objectives
- Relates and or integrates materials to other disciplines
- Provides opportunities for students to practice concept skills
- Utilizes a variety of techniques and methods to provide instruction at higher levels of thinking
- Adheres to Indiana Department of Education and District policies, rules, and regulations
- The teacher must have a valid Indiana teaching certificate or Workplace Specialist License
- Strong writing, literacy, and communication skills; use effective communication strategies to interact with a variety of audiences
- Must be proficient with technology (i.e. email, Google Suites, grading software, instructional platforms, etc.)
- Prepares instructional materials aligned with curriculum standards, maintains equipment, supplies, and other resources and maintains inventory records in accordance with district policies and procedures
- Works with community employers to promote and advance technical skills
- Maintains complete and accurate student academic, attendance, and disciplinary records
- Demonstrate techniques to students as a group and one - on one, helping them to complete lessons, assignments, projects, activities, and assessments.
