The selected candidates will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including construction observation and geotechnical engineering. As an intern, you will be provided with comprehensive training and will work closely with our experienced field staff. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Performing tests on soil, concrete, asphalt, and other materials at construction sites or in our laboratories. You will use specialized equipment, such as nuclear density testing gauges, to gather data and ensure compliance with technical specifications.
- Observing and documenting construction activities to verify adherence to project requirements. You will prepare detailed reports and summaries of your findings, highlighting any deviations from planned outcomes.
- Interacting with contractors, clients, and GTA personnel to assess site conditions and participate in project progress meetings. Effective communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role.
Candidate Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in civil engineering, geology, or a related field.
- Own steel-toe or composite-toe boots.
